FinalStep acts changing your windows properties at run-time. Therefore, if your program has complex in extreme windows and/or it is executed in old computers (for example, below 1 GHz), or with slow video cards, you may notice that the window flicker or that a delay exists before opening the window. Of course, the better option would be to upgrade your hardware, but when this is not possible the remedy consist on using simpler graphics and let the user deactivate the functions that he thinks are slower.

FinalStep is supplied with a set of buttons and wallpapers in GIF format optimized for optimal quality and visualization speed, and it is recommended that you use those graphics. However, if you prefer to use other graphics format (provided that are supported by Clarion), the graphics are also supplied in the original BMP 24 bits color format, to retain their original top quality.

Note that in modern equipment you can't notice any speed difference between having FinalStep activated or not.
