Support Policy

 
We guaranteed that you will have free unlimited access to tech support of any product you purchased. Our products are so easy to use, and they are well documented, so we are confident you will need no support at all. However, unexpected situations pop every time, and we are here to help you in that situations. e-mail is our preferred way of communication, but we also have two different chat channels available for our customers only.
Support is given either in English or Spanish.
Support is given for the current version of each product only.
 
   

Upgrade Policy

 

Minor updates are those that changes only the last digit after the period (like from 1.35 to 1.36). Major updates are those that changes only the first digit after the period (like from 1.35 to 1.40). Upgrades are those that changes the digits before the period (like from 1.35 to 2.00).

We guaranteed that you will have free access to any minor or major update, or upgrades of any product you purchased for a period of six months after the initial purchase. After the six months initial period you will have to subscribe to a Maintenance plan to stay current with the product revisions.

 
   

Maintenance Plan

 

The initial purchase of any of our licenses includes a six-month Maintenance Plan subscription, under which you are eligible for support, upgrades and updates for that particular licence. This Maintenance Plan subscription will expire six (6) calendar months from the initial date of your new product license purchase. If you wish to continue your eligibility for these services beyond the six month period, you must pay a renewal fee. The renewal of your Maintenance Plan subscription will extend your eligibility for support, upgrades and updates for another year (12 calendar months) beyond the expiration date of your current subscription.

The Maintenance Plan includes:

  • Access to all minor and major updates for your product, free of charge.
  • Access to major upgrades at reduced price.
  • Unlimited access to prompt technical e-mail support.
  • e-mail notification for every revision related to your covered products.
  • Privileged access to development plans .
  • Participation in Beta Programs.

Subscription is not mandatory; as you have the sources, you can recompile them with any version of Clarion and therefore we are not forcing you to stay current. However, we can only offer support to the current version, and we offer our updates and upgrades based mainly on new features (normally unrelated with Clarion patches or upgrades). If you feel that the maintenance plan don't worth the new features that you are being offered, you are not obliged to buy it; you may purchase the product at full price again at any moment after a two months tolerance period.
Gaps are not allowed. If you choose to skip the subscription, but later you see something of interest and want to subscribe, your subscription initial date begins were the former ends, not on the purchase date, and this is possible only up to two months after your plan expired. i.e. if you wait two months to acquire the annual subscription, you will have only ten months left of it, and if you wait more than two months, you have to buy the product again at full price.
